Company Profile

Cinevistaas is one of India’s leading content providers for television software, films, ad films and distributor of feature films.

Cinevista Communications (CCL), as it was previously known, was incorporated in 1993 as a partnership firm by Prem Krishen Malhotra and Sunil Mehta. It was converted into a private limited company in May 1997.

The name was changed to ‘Cinevistaas’ when it got converted to a public listed company on December 1, 1999. It has incorporated two subsidiaries -- Cinevista Global, which produces programs for television and Cinevista News International for producing current affairs and news related programs, both of which have not yet started their activities.

The media and entertainment player’s interests lies in the production of original content for various mediums. It owns and in post production services, high-end equipment rentals, sound studios and its own shooting floors. Besides domestic clients, the company also offers these services to international clients.

It currently airs 10 hours of programming per week across major channels like Sony TV, Sahara One, Zee TV and MTV. It has a library of over 3,000 hours of television software.

Studio

It owns a multi-functional, 30-floor studio shooting complex in Mumbai, which is one of the best known names in the Hindi film industry. The studio is fully equipped to meet any type of shooting requirements.

Besides this, it also has a single-window post-production facility with multiple high-end non-linear edit machines and linear editing suites, a high end computer graphics facility and sound and dubbing studios.

All these facilities are headed by a team of well qualified professionals who are used to delivering the best quality output under tight deadlines.

Business Areas

Television: This 25-year old company is one of the most successful TV content producers, its content ranging from action to adventure, kids programs to drama and soap to reality television shows. They were also the pioneers in providing television content to India’s national channel Doordarshan.

Its TV shows include Paalkhi, Crime Patrol, Pyaar Vyaar and all that, Kohinoo, Jersey No.10, Yahaan Ke Hum Sikander, Jaane kya baat hui, Dill mill gayye, Vivaah and Lo Ho Gayi Pooja Iss Ghar Ki.

It has also produced some of the most successful shows -- Aati Rahengi Baharein, Door Door Doorbeen, Krishna - Arjun, Saakshi, Saathiya, Ssshhhh...Koi Hai..,Veer, Sanjivaniand and Jai Mata Ki.

Motion Pictures: Cinevistaas forayed into movie production and distribution in 2001-02 with films like Garv, Shhhh Koi Hai and Yeh Mohabbatein. All these were distributed by the company across all locations in India.

Ad Commercials: Cinevistaas began its journey by producing advertising commercials for leading brands, which are fondly remembered to this day. Now, with over two decades of experience in this field, the company produces ad commercials for a various clients and advertisers from both domestic and international arena.

Some of its most impressive ad’s were for Kajaria Tiles, Panasonic A100, LifeStyle, India Bulls, Coca Cola, Boll Gard, Sprite, Adore, Alsafi, Mayfair and Haleeb.

Future Strategy

Cinevistaas is currently developing an IT park spread across four acres of land in Kanjurmarg suburb of Mumbai with the aim of tapping opportunities in media and entertainment industry in the coming years.

The Kanjurmarg property currently houses 28 sets that will not be changed because of the upcoming IT park. On completion of the project, 20% of the land available will be allotted to the hospitality sector on rental basis.
